Residential Care Homes
Residential care homes generally support older people who may have mobility and physical disabilities, long-term health conditions, sensory impairment such as loss of hearing or sight, or conditions affecting memory, such as Dementia and Alzheimer’s.
Care homes provide a safe and secure environment with carer staff available to support with practical tasks such as bathing and ensuring residents take their medication.

Residential Nursing Homes
Residential Nursing Homes typically provide the same support as ordinary residential care homes but also have on-site nursing support.
These providers are commissioned and contracted by NHS Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Boards (ICB) to deliver residential nursing care.
