About this provider

The Old Library Residential Care Home is situated on Isaacs Hill, Cleethorpes conveniently located close to the local shops in St. Peters Avenue and only a short distance from the sea front and promenade with its many cafes and ice cream parlours.

A key part of the success of the Old Library has been its focus on providing a “home from home”. One where people lead fulfilling lives, in a safe and caring environment.

About the premises

To minimise the impact of changes our residents may face when moving into a care home, we promote the philosophy of a ‘home from home’ environment and endeavour to retain as much privacy, dignity and freedom of choice as possible and:

  • make sure residents receive personal care in their own rooms wherever possible
  • ensure that all team members understand the importance of knocking on doors before entering
  • assist residents to maintain their dignity through their personal appearance and behaviour

The Old Library is an established 30-bedded, dementia friendly care home registered for older people.

The accommodation is set in a Victorian style building retaining much of its original features with large, bright communal areas and wide corridors allowing easy movement for wheelchair and walking frame users.

Situated in the seaside town of Cleethorpes, it is within easy walking distance of the seafront, promenade and bustling high street which features a wide variety of shops and cafes. There is a car park adjacent to the building.

We have a team of highly qualified staff who provide the very best levels of care and support and are dedicated to ensure residents maintain a good quality of life. With an experienced team of cooks, and a five star food hygiene rating, there is a varied menu providing delicious and nutritious freshly prepared meals and we can cater for special dietary requirements. There is also a hairdressing and Chiropody service available.
